This federal poll was fielded by Mainstreet Research in August 2017, with a middle field date of August 9, 2017. The poll collected data from a total sample of n=1,501 Canadian respondents via IVR technology (automated calls).
The margin of error [moe] for this poll is estimated at ±2.5%, 19 times out of 20 (for entire sample only) around the 50%-mark.
If we compare these national numbers with the previous poll from Mainstreet Research (July 2017), the Liberal Party loses two points from 33% to 31% (variation similar to moe), the Coalition avenir Québec remains stable at 28%, and the Parti Québécois climbs three points from 21% to 24%.
