This federal poll was fielded by Mainstreet Research in April 2018, with a middle field date of April 8, 2018. The poll collected data from a total sample of n=1,058 Canadian respondents via IVR technology (automated calls).

The margin of error [moe] for this poll is estimated at ±3.0%, 19 times out of 20 (for entire sample only) around the 50%-mark.

If we compare these national numbers with the previous poll from Mainstreet Research (March 2018), the Coalition avenir Québec loses two points from 32% to 30% (variation smaller than moe), the Liberal Party climbs two points from 28% to 30% (variation smaller than moe), and the Parti Québécois loses four points from 20% to 16%.
